Grades 4-6: What if George Washington Spoke French?

Objective of Collaboration   We are fortunate to live within 15 miles of Fort Necessity National Battlefield. As part of the KC3 video conference competition, the 8th grade social studies class at Ben Franklin School in Uniontown, PA put together a program that highlights not only the battle at the fort, but also the skirmish at Jumonville Glen. These were the opening moments of the French and Indian War and the only military engagement considered a loss for Washington. We'd love to share our presentation with upper elementary classrooms as an introduction to their study of this very significant period in our nation's history. Please visit our wiki http://8th-if-george-washington-spoke-french.wikispaces.com/ for more information.
