Grade K: The Five Senses

Description:	Soon we will be working on the 5 sense theme and looking for a another Pre-K or K classroom to play a game and share a song\story with us. Here is the general idea that we would like to play: Different students on each side could wear a different prop. 3-4 students could have big ears, big eyes, or big lips??, etc.) Each teacher could take turns showing a picture, making a sound, etc. and the students with that sensory prop would stand up. We have two Pre-K classes that are interested.

Objective of Collaboration		Students will "connect" and quiz one another by reading Trivia Pursuit questions in Spanish. In a perfect world, I would like to find a mainly Spanish speaking class of students to read questions in English while our students read them in Spanish. Students would answer in their "non-native" language. Our Spanish teacher would like to do this with her 3rd year students at 10 AM to 11 AM CST. Times are slightly adjustable, but limited to the morning. This could be a one-time deal or repeated.

Objective of Collaboration		High school journalism class working with school on-line newspaper is interested in collaborating with another journalism class that produces a school newspaper either on-line or hard copy. After reading each others articles, students could post comments and eventually meet via videoconference for journalistic discussion. We are available from November through January from 9:00 to 10:30 EST.
