Description:	Students will have an opportunity to share and celebrate Poetry Month via live two-way interactive videoconferencing! Students will be able to present poetry using various multimedia and technology tools as solo presentations or in small groups. Getting ready is simple: • Students write their own poem(s) • On connection day, students share what they have written • After each presentation, students share what they really liked about the poem(s) and what the poem(s) meant to them. Grade 11: The Australia New Zealand Square Kilometre Array Project

Description:	CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science Education Officer Rob Hollow will talk to your class about the Australian and New Zealand Square Kilometre Array (ANZSKA) project. A pathfinder for this brilliant new telescope array is under construction in Western Australia. Rob Hollow will discuss the deep and fundamental understanding of the early universe which the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) is expected to unveil. The SKA will allow us to see back to a time 300,00 years after the Big Bang, revealing the formation of the first stars and the first galaxies. He will also outline the technical demands of this new instrument, the education opportunities it will provide and the career paths open for Australian scientists and engineers. This video conference will enhance VCE Astronomy and Astrophysics.

Grades 10-12: The Ethics of Stem Cell Research

Description:	The Ethics of Stem Cell Research (Tuesday, April 12, 9:00-10:30 MDT, 11:00-12:30 EDT) – Science, TOK 1. Join high school students from across North America as they come together, mentored by graduate students from around the world, to seek out and build consensus on how our scientific communities, local, national and international governments should move forward with Stem Cell Research. Students will hear about ground breaking research and learn about the implications it has on the ethical debate. Students will review and evaluate different aspects of Stem Cell Research and the potential competing interests through our global interactive student portal, networking with their peers across North America, culminating in a video conference on April 12th.
