Grade 7: Graphic Design


Description:Hi. I´m teacher at emblematic public school María Parado de Bellido in Rimac district on Lima, Perú. I´m looking for two or four videoconference sessions to have a feedback from remote students about the local student´s work in graphic desing.

Outcomes:This is the first time that our students (all are girls) will participate in video conference system. So, we need to have a feedback about their projects from students around the world.
Preparation Time Frame:1 month before video conference session.
Methods and Activities:We will share information visually only one or two weeks before the video conference session.
Responsibilities:Our local students expose their projects to remote students. So, remote students expose their works too. After that, both class, select the best work to discuss for both class. The teacher put the rules on the table and stop any lazy discuss.
Both teacher made a resume for all the class. What are learn in this project.

1: select country (maybe Perú or another country first)
2: select the best five project from each country.
3: expose the best five project from each country.
4: discuss, by both class, one by one.

Grades 6-7: Science: From Bacteria to Plants

Description:My class would give 20-30 minute presentations on the subject matter and have the partner class ask questions after the presentation to clarify their understanding.

Grade 1: Bloggin Pen Pals

Description:
I teach first grade in Pennsylvania and currently have 19 students. I am seeking a first grade classroom that would like to collaborate via videoconferencing on shared projects at least three or four times between the months of September and May. I would also like for the first grade classrooms to have a shared blog to enable the first grade students to communicate and write with their blogging pen pal. I am seeking a first grade classroom that is out of state or an English speaking country.

Description:Greetings from MIZY center, Seoul, Korea.

I am Youngran Choi, staff of the Multicultural Education Program Team at MIZY Center (Seoul Youth Center for Cultural Exchange) which is operated by the Korean National Commission for UNESCO under the auspices of the Seoul Metropolitan Government. MIZY Center has conducted video conferences over many times so far with various countries such as USA, England, Australia, Serbia, Thailand, Philippines and so on. For your information, to hold a video conference, it is crucial that we have facilities to be compatible each other. We use IP address and Polycom VSX 7000. This information is quite important to find an appropriate partner.

Objective of Collaboration
We are looking for K-3 teachers, from countries outside the US, interested in participating in an online collaboration project we are putting together for the coming school year called, "Playgrounds around the World."

The overall intent of this project is to encourage communication and collaboration from classroom to classroom around the world. We have decided to focus on “Playgrounds around the World” as our project topic. Our team consists of a Kindergarten, second and third grade teacher as well as our school librarian and guidance counselor. Through this project we hope to help our students:

improve their communication skills,
use school playgrounds as a lens through which they can better see how people adapt to their environment,
appreciate the potential of digital media and environments to communicate and work collaboratively with people around the world and
better understand and appreciate that they are alike and different from other people in many different ways.
