Description:We would like to communicate through gaggle, video cam polycom, and/or snail mail once per month if possible. The main purpose is to learn about other places in our country and to practice our writing skills. We live in a suburb of Houston, Texas.

It's the 8th year of Megaconference Jr and this year's event promises to be even more collaborative, engaging and fun than ever before.

Don't miss this exciting opportunity on February 24, 2011 from 7am EST to 5:30pm EST (UTC -5) to interact with schools from around the world. The schedule of presentations in its new format is now posted on the website. Join VJ teams and presenting sites from countries all around the world to work collaboratively on specific content themes including:

The Economy In Our Country, led by Po Leung Kuk College, Hong Kong - for students ages 16-18

Creating Worldwide Music, led by The Bolles School, Florida, USA - for students ages 12-18

Going to Infinity and Beyond, led by Pennsbury School District, Pennsylvania, USA - for students ages 6-18

Read for Your Life, led by Scott Highlands Middle School, Minnesota, USA - for students ages 5-12

Planning for the Future: How Does the Global Demand for Energy Impact Our World?, led by Pocono Mt., PA, USA - for ages 12-18

S-T-E-M in Nature & Biology, led by Weaver Lake Elementary, Minnestoa, USA - for ages 6-14

Lying in Court? Cultural Misunderstanding, led by National Dali High School, Taiwan - for ages 12-18

There are a limited number of interactive spots for each theme (registration for each session will close once it has reach its allotted interactive seats) so be sure to sign up your school to get involved ASAP.

Please go to: http://www.megaconferencejr.org and review the posted schedule and VJ team description pages using the drop-down menu under "2011 VJ Teams" prior to completing your registration. If you would like to work on one of the teams and present, go to the "Create new account" link and complete the form selecting the session of your choice at the end of the registration form. When you have completed all fields click the "Create new account" button. You should then receive an email confirmation. You will be contacted directly by the VJ team to begin collaborating and planning your session. If you would only like to view the day's events and not be a presenting site, please also register by following the instructions to "Create a new account" on the website but do not select any of the sessions. View only instructions will be posted closer to Feb. 24th.
