Grades 7-8: Physical Education Goes Techno

Description:What’s the physical education program like at your school? A physical education (PE) teacher on Long Island, NY, would like her Grade 7 and 8 students (ages 12-14) to videoconference with students in a PE class from a school outside the United States. The New York students would like to show how they use technology in their physical education and sports program to promote healthy bodies through sports and diet. The students would like to learn about the sports program in a foreign school. The final format of the collaborative event will be determined by the two collaborating teachers, but the format should be very interactive and include visuals (ie, digital photos and video as well as PE demonstrations). Please note: Partners must have access to a VC unit that transmits via IP H323 connection.
