Gr 9-12 FREE Special WVIZ Program “Securing the World Online”

One keystroke can be more dangerous than a bomb. Government contractors and global
companies have been attacked several times in the last few months. What are the major
security threats for the United States, its government and people? What does the
government do? How can cyber attacks influence lives of ordinary people around the world?

Program: “Securing the World Online”
Guest Speaker: Terry Roberts, Former Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence

Date: September 27, 2011
Time: 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Terry W. Roberts is executive director of the Acquisition Support Program (ASP)/
Interagency and Cyber at Carnegie Mellon University. She leads SEI customer support
for the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. intelligence community, and the federal
government, with a special focus on network security and acquisition in today's cyber
environment and architecture areas.

Before coming to the SEI, Roberts was the Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence (DDNI),
where she led, together with the Director of Naval Intelligence, more than 20,000 intelligence
