| Description: | I am looking for another kindergarten class to share in a celebrating the rhymning technique of Dr. Seuss. Our Kindergarteners have been studying Dr. Seuss the author and reading/listening/viewing some of his stories. We have worked with rhyming words both in the media center and in the classroom. Each class will read and discuss many of Dr. Seuss books and work on rhyming words. **Prior to the VC the teachers will generate enough rhyming pairs/groups of words for the classes. Each student will create a drawing of his/her word. **During the VC students will introduce themselves, then say their word. the partner from the other class will/should recognize their rhyming pair and say, I HAVE A RHYME!! MY WORD IS ______ AND THAT RHYMES WITH ______. This will continue until each student has found their rhyming partner. |
