| Description: | World Class Schools Bringing the world to your class room creates the world class school! World Class Schools (WCS) is a collection of high schools from around the world who are debating current events, participating in mock trials, and having intellectual dialogs with future world leaders today. WCS is open to all school who have a vision for changing education and bringing the world into the classroom. Programming includes: Mock Trials WCS is working with the YMCA Youth and Government program to bring mock trials to the international schools. In South Africa, WCS is working with NYDT to bring an International Law Festival to the world in April of 2011. In Australia, WCS is working with the Magistrate's Court of South Australia to bring Australian mock trial cases to the world in the spring of 2011. Debates WCS offers public debates over hot topics to provoke the future leaders of the world to think about tomorrow's problems today in order to find a solution. In addition to the current partners, in Canada, U.S., Mexico, Georgia, Russia, Guatemala, Iran, Turkey, Korea, Taiwan, new schools are always welcome! Food For Thought Programs- WCS offers a monthly guide to culture and exchange. There are many more programs. What we are looking for now are other schools to join our program. We are a teacher created, teacher friendly program that provides the ability of your school to be a World Class School by allowing the world to come into your classroom |
